Areas of Interest

The Division of Science and Mathematics provides an intimate environment for learning. The department has an array of degrees in the fields related to Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Physics. It offers associate degrees, certificates programs as well as a wide range of courses. The programs are highly flexible in that they are offered on campus as well as online. Students can expect to finish their degrees on time.

The faculty are committed to student-centered teaching and learning. They provide an environment for individualized instruction. Faculty closely monitor students' progress and advise them about their major and their career.

The Science and Math division is a leader in using technology in the classroom. The division has acquired many grants for technology that enable students to experience a number of unique things such as using Tablet PCs in the classroom and a 3D projector that projects life like images of internal human organs. Computer science students get to program robots while learning programming concepts; Math, Physics and Pre-Engineering students use cutting edge software in their classes. Faculty use a variety of technologies for their online classes to enhance the student success rate.
